CiTEL is now into its third year of operation, and we recently launched our 2019 Professional Learning Events Program. The overall theme of the Event Program is “Developing your Career” and we have tried to source and develop PD opportunities that meet the immediate needs for individual professional development associated with College strategic priorities. In addition to our regular in-house PD, the Professional Learning Events Program includes activities which are open to educators from other schools. We keep these as accessible as possible with most being no cost.
CiTEL Leadership Workshop Series (22 March & 3 May): The first workshop in the new Series is “Leadership styles and attributes to build an effective contemporary Senior School culture”. Drawing on over 40 years of experience, presenter Terry Niebling (LHC) has strategically translated an identifiable leadership philosophy into a positive and effective senior school culture which is aligned to the needs and expectations of contemporary adolescent girls.
CiTEL Community Lecture (8 May): We are privileged to have Professor Michael Milford (QUT), a well-known researcher and respected expert in robotics, present the inaugural Twilight Series, CiTEL Community Lecture: “Robotics, AI and automation: What's happening and what does it mean for our future careers?”
Later in the year we have the return of the popular Workshop Series on Catholic Social Teaching with some new additions to the series.
The CiTEL Learning Analytics Symposium(31 May – 1 June) is one of our major events for 2019 and you can read more about that on the Symposium website.
