Every year Lourdes Hill College celebrates the achievement of women. Whether through the school community gathering to hear a guest speaker at our International Women’s Day Breakfast, to promotion of amazing women on assemblies and in the classroom, the incredible accomplishment of women is a cause for reflection and celebration. However, research tells us that equality is an on-going area of focus as women still struggle to attain representation in our governments, in senior leadership positions and in board rooms.
The latest research brief (here) from the Alliance of Girls Schools “International Women’s Day 2020: Generation Equality”, sets out some excellent examples of how we can all work towards exciting and equal futures for our students as they develop into women of tomorrow.
